In Your Tackle Box

A great way to keep all your fishing gear close at hand is to invest in a tackle box. Although they come in many shapes and sizes they all have sections where you can keep your sinkers, hooks, lures, bobbers and floats separate and untangled for easy access and use.

Some additional things you should have in your tackle box:

  • Needlenose pliers (to help remove hooks)
  • Fish rag or cloth
  • Mechanical scale (for weighing the fish)
  • Measuring tape
  • Nail clippers (great for snipping fishing line)
  • Bait container
  • Small screwdriver (for repairing or keeping your reel tightened)
  • Plastic holder for your fishing licence
  • Sharp fillet knife (for cleaning fish you keep)
  • Bandaids in case of cuts
  • Extra fishing line
  • Copy of the B.C. Freshwater Fishing Regulations Synopsis

Don't forget to keep your licence on your person!
