Get Excited about Fishing in Chilliwack
The Freshwater Fisheries Society (FFSBC) and Federal Fisheries staff will be stocking Chilliwack River this week with more than 110,000 steelhead smolts.

Mayo Lake
Nearest town/city: Between Lake Cowichan and Duncan
Driving directions: From Duncan, drive west along Highway 18, turn left off the highway towards Skutz Falls and then immediately left on Cowichan Lake Rd. Drive east for approximately 1 km and turn right onto Mayo Rd. The lake is on your right.
Facilities: Small fishing pier
Fish in the lake: Stocked catchable-sized rainbow trout
Tip: Good fishing from shore or the pier
Lookout Lake
Nearest town/city: Colwood (Triangle Mountain area)
Driving directions: Travelling west on Highway 14 (Sooke Rd), turn south onto Fulton Rd and access the lake via Batting Place off of Sunheights Terrace.
Facilities: None
Fish in the lake: Stocked catchable-sized rainbow trout and smallmouth bass
Tip: Best fishing is from shore in the spring and fall
Somenos Lake
Nearest town/city: North of Duncan
Driving directions: From Highway 1, turn east on Drinkwater Rd and drive to parking area at the pier.
Facilities: Pier
Fish in the lake: Stocked catchable-sized rainbow trout
Tip: Best time to fish from the pier is in the spring and fall.
