Call Lake
Description: Head to Call Lake Provincial Park for fishing, hiking and mountain biking in the summer, and ice fishing, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling in the winter; a great family destination for any season!.
Nearest town/city: East of Smithers
Driving directions: Call Lake Provincial Park lies approximately 5km southeast of Smithers.

Fish in the lake: stocked with brook trout

Co-op Lake

Description:
Nearest town/city: Burns Lake
Driving directions: Take Highway 16 east from Burns Lake, turn left onto Augier Forest Service Road and follow it to the lake.
Facilities: There is a recreation site with a boat launch at the lake and all amenities may be found in nearby Burns Lake.
Fish in the lake: stocked brook trout
Tip: In the winter there is excellent ice fishing.


Dunalter Lake
(also known as Irrigation Lake)
Description: Dunalter is classified as a man-made lake. The District of Houston acquired the land surrounding the lake to develop a public park; it is now a well-used recreation area for many activities including fishing.
Nearest town/city: Houston
Driving directions: From Houston, travel 14 km northwest on Highway 16 toward Smithers. Look for a blue picnic table sign and a blue Irrigation Lake sign. Turn west and drive for 300 m on an excellent road to the lake.
Facilities: Dock, swimming beach, day-use area and change rooms.
Fish in the lake: stocked cutthroat trout
Tips/Techniques: Dunalter Lake enjoys an active winter fishery.
