Prince George anglers can now enjoy a great new fishing opportunity at Shane Lake in the heart of the city.

Charlie Lake
Description: As well as offering productive fishing for northern pike and walleye, Charlie Lake Provincial Park features a campground, a play area for children and opportunities for hiking, boating, and cycling.
Nearest town/city: Northwest of Fort St. John
Driving directions: The lake is easily accessed from the Alaska Highway near the Highway 29 junction.

Fish in the lake: Wild northern pike, walleye, yellow perch and burbot

Quality Lake
Description: As its name suggests, Quality Lake offers anglers of all skill levels a first-rate fishing experience. For those baiting their first hook through to the seasoned fly fisher, catch success for good-sized rainbow trout is generally high, particularly by late summer and through the fall.
Nearest town/city: East of Tumbler Ridge
Driving directions: From Tumbler Ridge, drive 7 km north on the Heritage Highway (Feller's Heights Rd). Turn right on the Bearhole Lake Rd just before crossing Quality Creek and drive for 6 km on this gravel road to the culvert crossing at the lake's outlet. Access from here is by a 100 m walking trail to the north end of the lake.
Facilities: None
Fish in the lake: Stocked catchable-sized rainbow trout
Tip: The lake is ideally suited to small cartop boats, canoes or belly boats as shore fishing opportunities are limited.
Sundance Lake
Description:
Nearest town/city: East of Chetwynd
Driving directions: From Chetwynd, drive east on Highway 97 for approximately 14 km. The lake is located on the left side (north) of the highway.
Facilities: None
Fish in the lake: Stocked rainbow trout
Tip: Fish from shore or a boat.
