Get Excited about Fishing in Chilliwack

The Freshwater Fisheries Society (FFSBC) and Federal Fisheries staff will be stocking Chilliwack River this week with more than 110,000 steelhead smolts.

Beaver-Dee Lakes
Description: This chain of five connected lakes, with Beaver Lake at the bottom and Dee Lake at the top, is a great fishing destination northeast of Kelowna.
Nearest town/city:
Driving directions: Access the chain of lakes via Beaver Lake Road from Winfield.
Facilities: There are Forest Service recreation sites on Beaver and Island lakes, and two resorts at the north and south ends of the chain.
Fish in the lake: Beaver and Dee are stocked with rainbow trout

Osprey Lake

Description: Osprey Lake is located midway between Summerland and Princeton along the old Kettle Valley railway line. This lake is popular with fly fishers and light trollers, and also provides ice fishing opportunities in the winter.
Nearest town/city: Northeast of Princeton
Driving directions: Located off the Princeton to Summerland backroad. From Princeton, follow signs for Chain Lakes and Osprey Lake Rd.
Facilities: This small recreation site has a campground equipped with picnic tables, pit toilets, a wharf and a boat launch.
Fish in the lake: Stocked rainbow trout

Pinaus Lake

Description: This is a good fishing lake for families and beginners.
Nearest town/city:
Driving directions: From east boundary of Falkland and Highway 97, travel 11.7 km towards Westwold. Turn left onto the road at Pinaus Lake Resort sign (there are two roads off Highway 97, do not take the first one) and travel 9.1 km to the lake.
Facilities: There is a recreation site with boat launch, pit toilets and picnic tables on the north shore. Pinaus Lake Resort has boat rentals and cabins.
Fish in the lake: Stocked rainbow trout, yellow perch
